While keeping true to the hand made design quality, Jessica had her hands full and in 2007 teamed up with good friend Arlo Rumpff. Arlo had been a fisherman in the Bering Sea, and was ready for a career change. He brought his hard working spirit and enthusiasm to Slow Loris just in time. Jessica taught him how to screen print, (he's better than her now) models most of the shirts on the web site, and deals with the business side of Slow Loris. A few years later Maijah (aka Slow Elf) came along and whipped the studio into tip-top shape. Team Slow was now complete.
Any average workday consists of drawing, painting, printing and folding many t-shirts in our solar powered studio, as well as island walks with a bunch of kids and dogs. The adopted motto "feeling strong and not in a hurry" reflects the pride Team Slow feels standing behind a quality hand made product for the past twenty years. Make sure to follow @slow_loris_studio on Instagram, and check out each of the accounts (tagged in the above photos) for behind the scenes looks into our lives and the making of new designs. Slow Loris is a family run business, (both Jessica and Arlo's significant others help out and even the kids sometimes jump in!) always feel free to drop us a hello, we'd love to hear from you! firstname.lastname@example.org
